Getting started as a buyer

Getting an account, setting up your company, and finding your way around.

Written by Lexi Smith

Foodstack is where you order from your coffee suppliers — catalogs, prices, and order history in one place instead of scattered across email threads.

Getting an account

There are two ways in:

  • Your producer invites you. You'll get an email with a link. Follow it, set a password, and you're in with your account already connected to them.

  • You request access. Found a producer you'd like to buy from? Send a request from their page. They'll review it and approve you, after which their catalog and your pricing become visible.

Either way you don't pay to have an account, and prices are set by each producer for your business specifically.

First things to set up

  1. Add your company details under Account — these appear on your orders and invoices.

  2. Add your locations if you order for more than one cafe, store, or kitchen. You'll pick a location when you check out.

  3. Invite your team from Team so whoever counts stock on a Monday morning can place the order themselves.

Finding your way around

  • Home — the producers you buy from.

  • Shop — a producer's catalog, and where you build a cart.

  • Orders — everything you've placed, with its status.

  • Inbox — price lists and updates from your producers.

A note on carts

You have a separate cart for each producer you buy from, and carts stay put between visits — so you can build an order across the week as you notice what's running low, then check out when you're ready.
